Proxies should get ready for the upcoming Zenless Zone Zero version 1.7, "Bury Your Tears With the Past," as the new chapter unfolds. New Agents, Vivian and Hugo Vlad, are coming that players can pull for, building up new team compositions. They will be featured in the continuation of the story, and players will be able to do the quality time events with them and learn more about the characters.
It's exciting to have the new chapter and characters, but there are also many new events and optimizations on the way. This will include rewards such as Polychromes to collect and add to your pull funds.
Optimizations
For game optimizations, there are only a few new additions to already existing features, such as the hangout events. There's also a quality of life optimization for the Drive Discs.
- New Dew Gardening flower arranging and interaction events will be added. This will be unlocked after completing specific floral designs in the new event "Say It With Flowers."
- New photo interaction voice lines for all Agents.
- Drive Discs can be marked as discarded when equipped and locked.
Login Event - All New Program
In Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7, Proxies will have access to the login event, where they can get 10 Encrypted Master Tapes. These are the tapes used for pulling in the limited banners. All they have to do is log in every day for 7 days and claim their rewards.
Login Event - "Eh-nah" Into Your Lap
On top of the 10 Encrypted Master Tapes, players will also be able to claim a total of 10 Boopons when they log in for 7 days. They can use this in the Bangboo Channel, possibly getting the new S-Rank Bangboo Robin if chosen.
Say It With Flowers
In one of the new events in Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7, Proxies will temporarily manage the flower shop. They will assist people with their requests and arrange flowers accordingly. The arrangement will consist of a pot and three different types of flowers.

+ 5There will be different customers who visit the flower shop, each with their own unique requests and requirements. Familiar faces will seek the player's help with selecting flowers, taking into account their own preferences for the flowers' style, color, and space.
A checklist will be provided on the side to verify that you've completed all the requirements, as well as a description for reference. However, there will also be a time when players will need to arrange flowers based solely on an image that they must replicate.
Rewards will include the following:
- Overtimeboo: Players will be able to claim the new A-Rank Bangboo Overtimeboo and its Bangboo Cores during the event. This will be a limited-time Bangboo, so make sure to complete the flower event!
- Event Commemorative Photo: This can be placed on the board in your room.

Bangboo Bash
The exciting and thrilling Bangboo competition is making a comeback in Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7. The gameplay is similar to Fall Guys, where there are obstacle courses that you have to go through. For each match, there will be a total of 12 Bangboos going up against one another. Players can also queue up with friends.
click to enlarge+ 5Players will be randomly assigned to one of two modes: Race or Survive. Race will put your Bangboo in an obstacle course where you need to reach the finish line as quickly as possible. For Survive, you'll need to survive until the end in a shifting environment. After each match, the game will calculate the rewards and ranking points based on your performance.
Ranking points now exist as there is a Ranked mode with a total of 5 ranks. Players will be matched based on their current rank, and they will be able to see their server-wide placement once they reach Diamond Carrot.

A Tale Through the Looking Glass
A novelist from a distant land visits New Eridu, and Proxies will have the chance to write a novel with him. Players will just need to assign specific Agents into the slots, while also making decisions on how they'd like the story to proceed. After completing the event, Proxies will be able to keep the story they made.

Besides the novelist, a renowned Director will also be coming to New Eridu in Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7. Proxies will need to assist them with filming tasks, including finding suitable locations and characters, ensuring the correct angles, and capturing the perfect moment with the shutter.

The pop-up food truck "Breaded Belief" is coming back to Lumina Square. You will be helping out the store by delivering food to different parts of the city. The chef will select one person per day, and Proxies will be responsible for taking their order, communicating it to the chef, and then delivering it back to them.

In Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7, there will be double drop events for both the Routine Cleanup and Combat Simulation. This will be helpful if you haven't readied up for the new characters you'll be pulling for in this version of the game.
All of these exciting events will be included in Version 1.7, which is scheduled for release on April 23, 2025.
