A whole new Star Wars game is coming soon—but it’s not the kind you’d expect. Star Wars: Zero Company will be the first-ever turn-based Star Wars game from Bit Reactor, developed in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment.

Here’s everything you need to know about Star Wars: Zero Company:
Story
Set after the events of the Clone Wars, the game follows an elite squad on a gritty and grounded journey through one of the darkest chapters in Star Wars history. You play as “Hawks,” an ex-Republic officer leading a diverse team of specialists from across the galaxy.
The story is penned by Aaron Contreras, marking his third time writing in the Star Wars universe, following his work on the acclaimed Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor. If you enjoyed Cal Kestis’ story, Zero Company might feel like a natural next step.
Gameplay
While full gameplay details are still under wraps, Bit Reactor has offered glimpses via the game’s trailer and shared more during today’s press conference panel.
Zero Company is a single-player, turn-based tactical strategy game, drawing clear inspiration from Firaxis’ beloved XCOM titles. Players will engage in turn-based battles against enemy AI using a radial command menu to perform actions. If you're into games like Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Valkyria Chronicles, or even Mario + Rabbids, this might be your next obsession.
For those seeking a challenge, the game will also feature a Permadeath setting for a more intense, stakes-driven experience.
Exploration is a key part of the experience too—Bit Reactor has confirmed that Zero Company will feature the most in-depth galaxy map ever seen in a Star Wars game.
Playable Characters
You’ll step into the boots of Hawks, the main playable character, who is fully customizable. Players can choose Hawks’ species, name, and more to make the character truly their own.
Joining Hawks are a few standout squad members:
- Lucco Bronk, an Umbaran sharpshooter with a personal vendetta against the Republic.
- Telia Tria, a Jedi on a quest to avenge her fallen master.
- Trick, a clone trooper burdened with deep regrets.
Release
Star Wars: Zero Company is expected to launch sometime in 2026 and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Players can wishlist the game today.
