Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has welcomed a terrifying new boss through Patch 7.0, giving players a fresh assignment which sees them take on the Trygon in the game's ninth PvE Operation.
While the new boss encounter is at the forefront of the update, prestige progression mechanics and class refinements further emphasize Saber Interactive's mission to grow Space Marine 2's post-launch roadmap, introducing gameplay improvements and balance adjustments aimed at refining both PvE and PvP modes.
In terms of the Prestige Rank system implemented for PvE, this allows players to reset class progress at level 25 and earn additional perks and cosmetics. Each Prestige Rank grants a 10% XP bonus, encouraging replayability and long-term engagement.
Elsewhere, private PvP lobbies make their debut, enabling players to tailor match settings to their liking, such as time limits and damage modifiers in the hope they provide greater control over competitive play.
Weapons have also received meaningful additions and tweaks, with the Inferno Pistol coming in as a new secondary option for various classes, while weapon perks have been rebalanced in order to enhance consistency and strategic depth.
In addition to its free content, the "Trygon update" also includes two new DLCs for Season Pass owners; Space Wolves Chapter Pack and Imperial Fists Champion Pack.
