It's that time of the month again when we have a new version for Zenless Zone Zero. We will welcome version 2.1, "The Impending Crash of Waves," which features a summer theme. There will be new events and rewards to earn Polychromes, characters such as Yuzuha and Alice from Spook Shack, new costumes, and more.

The events in the upcoming version are mixed with summer-themed activities such as surfing, but there are also combat-based events to test your characters' strengths. Besides that, some optimizations were made to make Zenless Zone Zero even better.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.1 - New Events and Rewards

The new ZZZ 2.1 update will have story content, new banners, more events to earn currencies, and more. This is the full breakdown.

The Proxies will continue their journey alongside the new characters, Yuzuha and Alice. The former will play a big role in the storyline as her family owns the patent to an important medicine. She's a lot like Lucy, who comes from a wealthy family. Her family is well-known and has a pretty good reputation, but whether Alice is fit to be part of the Investigation Team will be something that the Proxies will need to find out for themselves.

While the main story for this version will primarily feature Yuzuha and Alice, the other characters we've already encountered will also play active roles.

Rewards will include Polychromes and Dennies to help you earn pulls and get your character builds going.

Tales of Midsummer Dreams

The big event for Zenless Zone Zero version 2.1 is "Tales of Midsummer Dreams," which includes a lot of activities for the Proxies to enjoy. Proxies and the members of Spook Shack will do whatever it takes to entice customers and raise the popularity of the resort.

The first activity that people can participate in is surfing. To promote the resort as a surfing hotspot, Alice will take charge of the event herself. The gameplay is like Mario Kart, just that it's done in water. There will be obstacles that you need to dodge, but there will also be items that can be picked up to help you.

Proxies can also use Active Skills to perform drifts and dashes to help in various scenarios. There are also various surfboards to choose from, which will have their own buffs.

The second activity will be sailing around the island with Yuzuha, where you will participate in a shooting event. You'll be controlling Yuzuha and shooting down drones over the waves. The final score will be determined by the accuracy of your shots and the type of drones that you take down. While there's manual shooting and reloading, Proxies who have a hard time aiming can press and hold the auto-fire.

The third activity in the event is all about fishing. The developers listened to the feedback of the community from the last fishing event, therefore refining and improving the gameplay. There will be companions who can assist the Proxies during their fishing time.

Proxies who complete the event's main quest will also get Phaethon's (Wise and Belle) summer-themed outfits for free. Players now have a few costumes to choose from for our story's protagonists.

  • Polychromes
