1. Don’t Remove the Screen Protector
I know, I know, it’s always tempting to remove the protective film when you notice it covering the screen of your new purchase, but you should not remove it from the Nintendo Switch 2. Why? I hear you ask. This is actually a film layer "designed to prevent fragments scattering in the event of damage," and the Switch 2’s European safety manual specifically states not to peel it off.
Rather than being a temporary protector that you can easily peel off once unboxed, this one is actually designed to stay on and allows a separate screen protector to be placed on top should users want extra protection. Because it’s not supposed to be removed, the design means you probably won’t even notice the film unless you look very carefully for it.
Rest assured, it makes absolutely no difference to the graphics and visuals on the Switch itself. So, no touching!
2. Pay Attention to Setup Guides
Again, we know how tempting it can be to skip all of the setup guides when powering up a new gaming console and jump straight into the action instead. However, as boring as they can be, they’re equally important.

You will be able to choose preferred settings, personalize the system to your liking, create or sign into your Nintendo account, add profiles, and download the latest software updates.

3. Check the Console’s Settings
