Monster Hunter Wilds’ latest event has players unlocking a special armor. But it’s not your typical armor, it's actually a necklace that accentuates your Hunter’s body, letting you flex just how attractive your character is for other players to see.

How to Get the Pinion Necklace Armor in Monster Hunter Wilds

To get the Pinion Necklace armor, players must take on the Event Quest called “An Inferno Laid Bare” from the Handler.

In this quest, you’ll need to slay a 6-Star Nu Udra, and your Hunter Rank must be at least 31 or higher.

There isn’t much challenge in taking down a 6-Star Nu Udra. Players just need to survive long enough until the monster is on its last legs, then capture or slay it, depending on their preference. Make sure to equip fire-resistant armor so you can endure Nu Udra’s deadly flames.

Acquiring Necklace Tickets

To craft the Pinion Necklace armor, you’ll need at least three Necklace Tickets.

Flex those muscles

These are rewarded after completing the “An Inferno Laid Bare” Event Quest. If you’re lucky, you might get two Necklace Ticket drops in one hunt, which means you’ll only need to do the quest one more time. It's a relatively quick mission, especially compared to Arch-Tempered Rey Dau or the new monsters like Lagiacrus and Seregios, which often take over ten minutes.

Crafting the Pinion Armor

There are two versions of the Pinion Armor: one for Type 1 and one for Type 2 body types.

Players can choose whichever they prefer and use their three Necklace Tickets to craft it at the Smithy, Gemma. If you want to get both versions, you’ll need to farm three more Necklace Tickets.

Pinion Necklace Armor Skills

The Pinion Necklace armor isn’t just a cosmetic. It also provides armor skills. If you don’t equip it as Layered Armor, you’ll gain Level 2 Heroics and Level 1 Agitator, though it doesn’t come with any Jewel slots.

While it’s not the most powerful gear, it’s great for challenge runs where players intentionally increase the difficulty for a more intense experience.

And that’s about it. Monster Hunter Wilds will feature more events in the future, leading up to the highly anticipated Title Update 3, coming this September. The overpowered Gunlance, Cornpopper, is also set to make its return this July 22.
