Ghost of Yotei was revealed late last year, and fans immediately wanted to know when they could get their hands on this sequel to Ghost of Tsushima. Having more of that mix of stealth and sword-fighting is incredibly appealing, given how well these systems were developed. It’s no wonder that Yotei immediately got everyone’s attention, and Sucker Punch will likely continue giving fans more of the same.

To the surprise of many, not only did Yotei get another update, but this open-world action game now has a release date. It’s rare to see Sony follow up on their AAA games this quickly, given how long they take in development. But it won’t be long now and fans will be able to get their hands on this game soon.

Here’s everything you need to know about Ghost of Yotei.

Release Date

After much speculation, Ghost of Yotei is officially coming to PlayStation 5 on October 2. Now, fans will be able to mark their calendars and prepare accordingly, as this is a highly anticipated PS5 game. Considering Sony’s lack of must-have games at the moment, this sequel is what many fans have been waiting for.

Trailer

In addition to the release date announcement, Sony has released a new trailer that delves deeper into Yotei’s story. Fans who love bloody revenge tales will get a kick out of what they see here. Like the first game, we also get some gorgeous visuals with this sequel, which is expected since this is being made for PlayStation 5, with a likely PC port coming soon after.

Pre-orders

Gamers who are impatient and really want to get their hands on Ghost of Yotei will be happy to know that pre-orders start next week, on May 2. Naturally, fans will have multiple versions of the game to order, and they will be able to pick which ones they want next week. They can also just wait for the game and see if it’s in their local stores, or check out some reviews first.

Fans who pre-order any edition of the game will get a unique in-game mask and seven PSN avatars. These aren’t must-have bonuses, but it’s not the worst thing to give out since gamers who choose to wait won’t miss out on much.
