The new Destiny 2 The Desert Perpetual raid is coming out on July 19, and Bungie has prepared a free exclusive emblem for players to redeem: Power Hues.
Unlike previous years, this emblem is not technically a Twitch Drop, but you'll still have to use the platform in some way. So, if you want to know how to add another exclusive emblem to your collection, here's what you need to know.
How To Get The Power Hues in Destiny 2 For Free
To earn this unique emblem, you'll have to watch or stream Destiny 2 on Twitch at any point on July 19 from 6 AM to 6 PM PT. Previously, only select streamers gave access to drops, now watching anyone under the Destiny 2 category will count to get the emblem.
If you're interested in streaming your gameplay, you don't need to be a partnered stream or even partake in the raid race. As long as you stream on the Destiny 2 category on Twitch, you'll be eligible to claim your free emblem.
If you're new to the game, emblems aren't particularly worthy gameplay-wise, but there's a big, dedicated community of completionists who take pride in getting some exclusive emblems and showing them off. Plus, being free, there's no downside to trying and claim this particular one, as some can only be bought.
How To Link Bungie And Twitch Accounts
If you don't know how to link your Twitch and Bungie accounts, here's how to do it:
- Login to Bungie.net
- Navigate to your profile on the top right corner and click Settings
- On the left-side panel, click Account Linking
- Scroll down to find the Social Platforms Accounts section
- Authorize Link
One more thing to note: once you're done streaming the game, you need to collect your reward on Twitch before it shows up in Destiny 2. Once you do this, it will automatically be deposited in Destiny 2 to your Collections, from where you'll be able to retrieve the emblem and equip it.
