Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy was accidentally leaked, revealing that the acclaimed Plague series will continue. Much like Atlus’ Persona 3 Reload a few years back, this game was leaked on social media by accident, sending fans into a frenzy. On the bright side, it’s good to see this series continue.

Considering how popular the Plague Tale series is, fans were shocked to see this game on the publisher's Threads account (via Gematsu) before it was removed. But it happened, and players are now getting a third game in this unique rat-themed series. The short teaser that can be seen on Gematsu doesn’t really reveal anything major, though it looks like this entry could be more combat-oriented.

Many are assuming that Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy was supposed to be revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase that will premiere later tonight. It’s sad that this is how fans found out about the game, but that’s just how the cookie crumbles sometimes. Just having news on this series is good enough for fans who want more vermin-based stealth.

Both A Plague Tale: Innocence and Requiem were well-liked on release, getting solid reviews and doing well in sales. It was surprising to see a stealth game based on the old plague do so well, but this series did find an audience. The fact that we’re getting a third game is proof that this series could keep on going.

Expect more details on Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy to come out during the Xbox Games Showcase. Gamers can also purchase the first two Plague Tale games right now on current-gen consoles and PC.
