Battlefield 6 has been the worst-kept secret in gaming, with a ton of leaks showcasing some of its multiplayer features and more. EA still hasn’t officially unveiled the new game, but it looks like it could be revealed soon, as further leaks claim we’re getting a new EA event that will tell us everything.
Gaming insider rivaLxfactor has supposedly confirmed a three-day event from EA that will reveal the existence of this sixth game. The rumor claims we’re going to see the event later this month, on July 29. While EA hasn’t confirmed anything, the fact that the game has been leaked constantly adds credibility to this rumor.
In addition to that, various content creators have also received packages of the game, with one image posted online. Even if the three-day event ends up being fake, there’s enough evidence that suggests we’re going to get Battlefield 6 relatively soon, and these leaked packages are a major sign of that. The folks at EA can deny it all they want, but there’s clearly something brewing from the company in regards to this franchise.
Various betas for the game have also been leaked, showing what online play and the campaign could look like. The campaign has made plenty of noise since this series has been avoiding single-player in recent years. Unfortunately, fans who’ve seen the leaks feel that the single-player campaign isn’t ready, making the event’s potential reveal a bit concerning.
EA’s signature shooter has been struggling over the past few years. Battlefield V was poorly received, often seen as a worse version of Battlefield 1. The entry after that, Battlefield 2042, received even worse reviews, though fans did eventually warm up to some of its gameplay. It will be interesting to see if Battlefield 6 breaks away from this trend, but we’ll have to wait for an official reveal to know for sure.
