Ubisoft has been a frequent ally to Nintendo, even during the Wii U days, so fans will be happy to know that Assassin’s Creed Shadows is rumored for the Switch 2. Considering how capable this hybrid console is, there’s no doubt that it will look and play well on this system. Based on how powerful this system is, it’s only a matter of time before more of these Ubisoft games are ported to the hardware.

Fans going to the main PEGI website (via VGC) will see that the Shadows listing has Switch 2 written on this link. Clicking on the link will seemingly remove Nintendo’s stronger console from the link, but going back to the main page brings it back. Expect an announcement to be made soon on the game’s eventual Switch 2 port, should it prove true.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows has proven to be a huge success for Ubisoft, becoming one of the highest-reviewed games of 2025. Gamers everywhere seem to enjoy the relationship between Yasuke and Naoe, alongside the improved gameplay. It might not be like the old Assassin’s Creed games, but Shadows is a pretty good RPG.

We won’t be surprised if Ubisoft or Nintendo announces Shadows for the Switch 2 in a few weeks or months. Now that fans know this console won’t be affected by the tariffs, gamers can try getting this system and enjoying some current-gen titles on it. Is Assassin’s Creed Shadows going to be one of them? The chances are high.
