Ready or Not, VOID Interactive's tactical first-person shooter, is finally coming to console.

The game has been available to play on PC since 2021, initially launching in early access before its full release two years later in 2023.

Likened to other titles such as SWAT, Six Days In Fallujah, and Insurgency, Ready or Not focuses on realistic gameplay and strategic planning that requires players to coordinate their actions and make quick, calculated decisions.

So, when can we expect it to land on PlayStation and Xbox? Here's what we know so far!

Ready or Not Console Release Date

It has been confirmed that Ready or Not will be released on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S this summer, however, a fixed date is yet to be announced.

The big news was shared during the Twitch Galaxies Showcase, which took place on April 17, with VOID Interactive dropping a special console reveal trailer to give intrigued gamers a short preview of what to expect.

Following a huge surge in violent crime across the fictional area of Los Sueños, Ready or Not sees SWAT teams respond to various scenes involving high-risk hostage situations, active bomb threats, barricaded suspects, and other criminal activities.

An official console announcement page on VOID's website says players will take on the role of a LSPD SWAT Commander, composing their team roster with unique talents, giving tactical orders, meticulously planning, and carrying out missions.

From weapon attachments to character appearance, customization is a key part of the Ready or Not experience, offering players a wide variety of options that can be unlocked as they progress through the game.

Another important thing to note about Ready or Not's release on console is that crossplay will be fully supported, with squads composed of up to five players across each mission. Alternatively, players can also dispatch with AI teammates if they prefer going solo.
