A typical Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone season lasts around eight weeks, but Season 4 hasn't stuck to the usual schedule. The runtime for it was extended, resulting in several delays for events and the mid-season Reloaded patch.
The content added with the recent updates has also been on the drier side, adding to the overall mixed post-launch support for the game. With only the final two seasons left before all focus shifts to Black Ops 7, a packed Season 5 would help the shooter end on a high before the next installment.
Keep reading to know the expected release date for the season, as well as all leaked and official content.
When Does Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 5 Start?
Season 5 for Black Ops 6 and Warzone is expected to start on August 7, 2025. The date is based on the in-game battle pass timer for the current season. New seasons arrive just as the older ones leave at the usual time of 9 AM PT (12 PM ET, 5 PM BST).
If Season 5 also follows the 10-week schedule, the Reloaded patch can be expected on or before September 11.
Likewise, the final season should go live around October 16, 2025. Post-launch has been thin for Black Ops 6, which, combined with a longer season and the next game being from the same sub-series, has the community nervous about whether Season 6 is even going to happen.
But based on current cycles, unless there are more unexpected delays, both Season 5 and 6 should go live around the dates we mentioned above.
Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 5 Expected Content
It is officially confirmed that the final map for Black Ops 6 Zombies, Junas Tower, will be released with Season 5. The update will also conclude the story for Zombies. Outside of this, there is no major information regarding Season 5 content.
Junas Tower's release was confirmed in the June 18 COD POD. All developers have shared about the map is that it'll be "awesome." Zombies had a good start in Black Ops 6 with a welcome return to round-based mode and well-received maps, but it remains to be seen if we can get an equally good closure.
Per leaks, we could also get a Combat Bow Scorestreak similar to Cold War and MP40 returning in Season 5. Several codenames for the Verdansk location were also added with the recent S4 Reloaded update, hinting that the Stadium could open like in the past.
Those were the only major bits of information we have had about Season 5 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone. Outside of these, expect all the usual content like a new battle pass, operators, weapons, events, modes, and general balancing changes.
